klipine fetches the file TikTok stores, up to 1080p, with its original audio track and no re-encoding. The video you save is the one the author uploaded — same definition, same sound, ready to keep or to edit.
TikTok re-compresses every video it receives. A clip your phone shot in 4K is stored by TikTok at 1080p at best, often 720p if it was uploaded over a slow connection or by a small account.
klipine always asks for the best available file and returns it untouched. If you get 720p, that is not a klipine limit: it is everything TikTok holds.
All three forms work. The long link copied from the website, like tiktok.com/@account/video/123…. The short one the app’s Share button produces, like vm.tiktok.com/…. And the sharing link tiktok.com/t/….
The most reliable is the one from Copy link inside the app: it always points at the right video, even if the account is renamed later.
A video from a private account, a deleted video, or one blocked in your country cannot be fetched. klipine has no more rights than an ordinary visitor: it sees what everyone sees, nothing more.
TikTok live streams cannot be downloaded while they are running either. Once the stream ends and is reposted as a video, the link works normally.
Yes. We ask TikTok for the file it stores and pass it on untouched — no screen recording, no re-encoding. Up to 1080p, with the original audio track.
Yes. The short links the Share button produces (vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com) work exactly like full addresses. Paste whichever you have.
Yes, with Pro. Paste up to 30 links together and everything comes back in one go — as a single archive on a computer, or straight into Photos on iPhone.
Yes, always. Every file we hand back carries its original audio track.
Downloading a public video for your own use is generally fine. Republishing someone else’s video as your own is not. klipine is built for your own content and for public content — the rest is on you.
